Resident Yoga Fellow

Maple Grove Hot Springs and Retreat Center is a 45 acre, fully off-grid eco center along the Bear River and Oneida Narrows Reservoir.  We offer 6 hot spring pools, a 30’ group retreat yurt, creative accommodations in yurts, shelters, cabins for over 30 guests, riverfront beach, hiking trails, paddleboard/kayak rentals, reception lodge/bathhouse, and more.

Resident Yoga Instruction Fellow

The Fellowship provides the ideal candidate the opportunity to be an integral member of the  team of conservationists, healers, explorers, artists, and builders dedicated to the revival of a historical hot springs in the pristine landscape of Southern Idaho. This in an unpaid fellowship that includes free housing in exchange for 2 offered yoga classes / day along with 2 hrs of team projects. The rest of a candidates time is to refine their own personal practice and enjoy the restorative space and time offered onsite. 

 

 

Currently accepting 6-8 week applications for:

Spring / Summer 24': Mar-May 2024

Summer 24': June-July 2024

Summer/Fall 24':   Aug- Sept 2024

Fall 24':   Oct - Nov 2024

Fall/Winter 24:  Nov - Dec 2024

Class / Trade Schedule: Flexible, weekend. 5 days on 2 days off. 4 hrs/day

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of the Maple Grove Hot Springs Retreat Center Hosting Team

  • Offer 1-2 yoga classes/ day in Group Forest Yurt / Aquatic Gathering Pool

  • Assist with general upkeep and maintenance of property (hot spring management, trail development, grounds & garden, housekeeping, etc.).

  • Be a Maple Grove representative upholding our vision and core principles

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills, responsible and mature, and enjoy working with people

  • Must be easily adaptable to shifting of work loads and specific tasks

  • Work in remote and at times extreme outdoor conditions (rain, sun, snow)

  • 200 hr Teaching Certification or greater

  • Valid driver's license

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs
