About the Event

Gather around the hot springs to experience the healing power of acoustic strings while you soak.

Janese Hurley grew up in small town Idaho and started playing violin and singing in choirs at age 5.

She moved to San Francisco in 2002 join “The Heather Combs Band,” and has been a part of the San Francisco folk/country/roots rock scene since. Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, she co-founded and wrote for two projects: 3-part harmony ‘porch music’ group “The P’s and Q’s,” and indie rock trio, “Hurley Gurly Surly.”

She has a crooning alto singing voice, and plays the fiddle, guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin...you get the idea...STRINGS!

She is presently fascinated by the construction and sounds of cigar box guitars and other found object instruments. She performs original songs (old and new) in a one-man-band style setup with a suitcase for a kick drum.

After 18 years of living in the city, Janese has moved back to Idaho to enjoy big blue skies and hot springs. Seriously.
