About the Event
Humans have built with stone for at least 10,000 years, from simple stone beehives, to the solid heavy temples of the Mayans, Greeks, & Romans, to the graceful cathedrals of the Renaissance, stone is at the heart of human culture. Join us for a weekend of learning and assisting with the stone work for the exterior of our new Stone Shelters led by Bill Bradbury!
During this weekend, participants will learn a unique style of stone masonry involving a lime mortar dry stacking technique that has many contemporary applications.
This is a two day workshop with meals and overnight camping included.
