Gavin and Gabe Brito | Maple Grove Hot Springs

Have you ever been lucky twice on the same day? How about at the exact same moment?

Well, thanks to the Brito brothers, we are definitely feeling twice lucky.

Around here, luck often feels less like a surprise and more like a strategy. Scary, we know.

We get a lot of questions about the revival process of these historic hot springs.

How did we end up here or land on this over there? Where did we find those, or with whom did we create that? So many things have happened in a blur, and to be honest, luck seems to play a role more often than not.

Two weeks ago, we were actively recruiting for two roles: hospitality and groundskeeping. Finding the right fit felt like a moving target, and after a few interview no-shows, finding one, let alone two, hires felt impossible.

Then, one evening, two identical twins popped out of a truck.

"Our mom said you were hiring!" Well, Mom was right.

Luck, we have learned, finds fertile soil when met with spontaneity.

Without skipping a beat, they jumped into an impromptu walking, talking, working interview full of guests and volunteers and one hour later left hired for not one, but two jobs split between not one, but two twins.

They finish each other's sentences, work side by side, and take on responsibilities with a unified attitude of "let's do this thang".

As we say it out loud, even luck feels like an understatement. But we'll take it.

And guess what? Gavin and Gabe (yes, we know) are having their birthday this weekend. So join us in welcoming them to the team and wishing them the luckiest birthday yet!
