Community Organizing Happy Hour

Come learn about the proposed dam on the Oneida Narrows and explore what you can do to help STOP IT!

If you've gotten to know us by now, you know we are a community born out of complicated problems that deserve long-term solutions. It is our view that everyone can and should play a role in shaping the environments and communities we live in and there is no larger threat than the current Pacificorp plan to build 2 new dams along the Bear River, including one here in the Oneida Narrows.

It's time to continue our efforts to protect our local land and water from some very pressing threats. Join us at the HK taproom for an informal evening of cocktails and community organizing. We'll talk initiatives, clear actions, and current facts about some plans to construct 2 more dams on tributaries to the slowly shrinking Great Salt Lake. We will also learn about broader issues impacting the Great Salt Lake from fellow waterway advocacy partners like Save Our Great Salt Lake and more!

This event is free and open to any and all stakeholders who are interested to learn more about the specific steps to submit public commentary to PacifiCorp before the Dec 26th deadline!!
