Curious Conversations - A Shoshone Elder's Winter Story

"Winter was the Elder's time" says Darren Parry, Vice Chairman of the NW Band of the Shoshone Nation.  A time for stories & wisdom, passed down from one generation to another. In our series Curious Conversations, we are pleased to welcome one such Elder as he shares a 1 hr Fireside Yurt story of Shoshone culture, tragedy, and hope. Darren will also be introducing a new initiative, Bichu-Nanewe or Return of the People, which aims to elevate the connection between indigenous wisdom and modern day learning. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to this cause. 

January 29th marks the commemoration of The Bear River Massacre, one of the largest losses of Indigenous life at the hands of the Federal Government.
