Meteor Shower Stargazing-Late Night Soaking Session (6-11pm)

Star parties are probably the quietest parties you will ever attend. Members of astronomical societies gather with their telescopes to share their love and knowledge of space with those of us just starting the journey of learning more about what the night sky holds. A chance to gaze through a powerful telescope and binoculars awaits. 

Join our late-night soaking session from 6-11 pm for the first Maple Grove star party! 

We are holding this on the peak night of the Perseids meteor shower for some added magic while soaking under the stars. 

About our Presenter:

Bruce Horrocks has been an amateur astronomer and astrophotographer with a fascination for space and rockets since he was young. He has served in the local Cache Valley Astronomy Society club for the past 6 years, with 3 years as president and now on the executive committee. He will be bringing a variety of telescopes and large binoculars for your viewing experience.  We will also have a short presentation on space and some of the interesting deep-sky objects that he has photographed.

Silence after sundown will be observed in the pools for those not involved in the learning series.
