About the Event
Join us and Maple's very own host, Mailin, as she guides us through the of art of making nature mandalas. We will forage for materials, learn the basic concept of mandalas, and create our own. Materials will be returned to the earth, only photos can be taken home. In this workshop, you will learn the ancient and meditative art of nature mandalas, embrace impermanence, commune with nature, and flex your creativity in a supportive environment. Meet your Facilitator: Mailin Plagge is a teaching artist specializing in paintings, murals, printmaking, and natural media. In her practice she aims to tell the stories of how humans and nature are so inseparably entwined. Mailin has participated in a variety of national shows and residencies, and ultimately believes that none of that matters.
We recommend pants, good walking shoes, and a small water bottle. Bring a camera!
