Groundskeeper + Maintenance Lead
Maple Grove Hot Springs and Retreat Center is a 45 acre, fully off-grid eco center along the Bear River and Oneida Narrows Reservoir. We offer 4 hot spring pools, a 30’ group retreat yurt, glamping accommodations in yurts, canvas, cabins for over 30 guests, riverfront beach, hiking trails, paddleboard/kayak rentals, reception lodge/bathhouse, and more.

Maple Grove Groundskeeper + Maintenance Lead
This team member leads the charge on Maple Grove’s landscaping, land management, and machine and equipment care and performance. From pool cleaning, to basic handyman repairs, to rock hauling and tree planting, this role will pioneer the seasonal management of this property and wilderness. In 20 years from now, we hope the standards, care, and habits this role creates for the land They will be an integral member of the founding team of conservationists, healers, explorers, artists, and builders dedicated to the revival of a historical hot springs in the pristine landscape of Southern Idaho.
Commitment: ASAP - 6 month minimum
Work Schedule: 15-25 hrs per week (including select weekends)

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the seasonal land management, equipment maintenance and performance, and special projects.

Provide a clean, comfortable and restful stay for all guests to ensure they have an exceptional “one-of-a-kind” Maple Grove experience

Maintain and builds relationships with property neighbors, local communities, and key partners

Be a Maple Grove representative upholding our vision and core principles
Groundskeeping
-
Ensure all wild and landscaped areas are cared for and maintained according to Maple Grove standards. Duties include: mowing lawns, weeding, planting, raking, shoveling, pruning, overall landscape beautification and management.

Design task plans and assist in the management of volunteers, fellow staff, and guests to help achieve daily and weekly land management objectives.

Assist in the implementation of an irrigation system
Equipment Management

Create maintenance standards for all power equipment, including gas powered pressure washers, lawn mowers, weedwackers, tools, and solar system.

Perform routine maintenance and care for all equipment and machines

Identify and manage repairs as needed, including relationships with 3rd party repair and service partners.

Handyman + Repair + Maintenance

Identify and manage repair of all staff and guest related issues. Common examples are door repair, furniture moving, repair, path work improvement, basic electrical work, basic plumbing, basic irrigation repair,
Requirements:

Organized and detailed oriented with an eye for cleanliness and proactivity

Exceptional customer service skills, responsible and mature, and enjoy working with people

Must be easily adaptable to shifting of work loads and specific tasks

Work in remote and at times extreme outdoor conditions (rain, sun, snow)

Pass background check

Valid driver's license and AWD/4x4 car

Able to lift up to 80 lbs
Qualifications:

Experience in landscaping, maintenance, and or trade skills

Irrigation / plumbing

Machine care and maintenance
Compensation:
-
$13 -17 per hour depending on experience

Split daily tips with the on-site team. We match guests’ tips!

9 month bonus $500
