Time, rain, snow, and people have taken a toll on one of Maple's key structures—what was historically known as the reception office. Today, it’s most currently known as our single largest restoration project.
For those familiar with the old office, these historic beams may seem like intruders. For us, they were a welcome find after removing flooded, moldy, and fly-infested sheetrock and insulation. While we don’t know what the name of our restored space will be yet, we do know its purpose moving forward—to be a clean, mountain-inspired space for communal gatherings fueled by games and books, and a warm hearthside conversation spot while waiting for friends to change and freshen up in the adjoining bathhouse.
These historic beam intruders will now welcome guests in the daylight for years to come!
