Our thoughts on gratitude. ⁠

⁠Happiness, it seems, is an ongoing dance of near-daily decisions. ⁠

⁠To be aware of the past with an acceptance for what has been and at peace with what no longer is. ⁠

⁠To be attentive to the present with an abundant orientation toward gratitude for what is and is not right here and right now. ⁠

⁠To be optimistic for the future with a mind's eye toward creativity, community, and completion of things large and small. ⁠

⁠And to hold all these thoughts alongside a powerful truth—that we are human and that we will forget these thoughts often, and that we will struggle.

To not succumb to the regrets and longings of days before. ⁠

⁠To not be overwhelmed by fears of tomorrow and underwhelmed by wins of today. ⁠

⁠To not lose hope for what days ahead may bring nor expect too much from the nights that follow. ⁠

⁠And that within that struggle, we are born. ⁠

⁠So these days, let us be grateful for who we are becoming and how hard we are each trying. ⁠

⁠This day, we are feeling so grateful for this land in all its challenges. For our guests in all their diversity. For our wins, our losses, and our wild dreams for what lies ahead.
