A Note About Perspective

Right now, we are all spinning at the same speed as Earth whirls in place, roughly 1,000 miles an hour. In this maddening rotation, we go about our days fussing over the things right in front of us - traffic, taxes, political campaigns, grocery shopping lists, which couch we intend to buy from Ikea.
While we are spinning in place, our circular rock that happens to fly at the exact habitable distance from the burning exploding star we call the Sun, is hurling in it's orbit at a pace of over 67,000 miles an hour. For comparison, a fast bullet reaches only 1,800 miles.
So... right now, as we scroll on our phones ping ponging between the latest news, shopping deals, and attention grabbing clips, we are literally flying 32 times faster than a bullet through an abyss of outer space while also spinning round 1,000 mph.
This infinite rocket ship we've all boarded offers no special treatment for the rich or the poor, the red or the blue, the brown or the white.
Everything on this mysterious space rock called Earth is a perfect combination of luck, timing, and one-of-a-kind circumstances that allow for us to BE. HERE. NOW.
And guess what, YOU ARE HERE NOW. What a miracle. So when you step outside and look at the faces of those you love, those you disagree with, and those whom you may never know, remember just how lucky we all are to be alive, spinning in space, trying to make sense of it all. When life hits heavy, remember this, you've already made it this far, just keep those feet on the ground and hold on tight.
And when you consider what to do with your time here on Earth, ponder this... none of us are going to make it off this rock alive. In a time picked by the same luck that put us here to begin with, we will eventually stop spinning.
Are we saying I LOVE YOU to every flying human we see? Are we exploring our inner self and BECOMING who we are always meant to be? Are we helping those spinning by our side to KEEP STANDING STRONG? Are we leaving this rock CLEANER, SAFER, HEALTHIER than we found it?
And mostly, are we simply aware that right now, we are flying through space faster than a bullet. What a miracle.
