Announcing another gathering of Gentle Men on 7/20 1pm w/ special guest Jared Potter. What started as an inter-generational meet up meant to casually explore the changing & diverse nature of masculinity in the modern era, this poolside hang & conversation has emerged as a thought provoking call to action mixed with brutally honest group reflection.

Join @jordaninthepool & @jaredrpotter, a long time guest, workshop participant & active outdoorsman as he shares the intimate journey of moving beyond traditional models of masculinity in order to maintain mental health amidst the loss of his mobility following a devastating accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Together, we’ll explore how to move beyond the body while redefining healthy notions of masculinity.

The more we age as a community, the more we organically explore & express amongst ourselves one big idea -

Happiness.

What it is & isn’t. How it feels and how it comes & goes. Where it hides when times are hard & how to find it when life gets even harder.

Jared will challenge one common idea - That Happiness depends on outside circumstances. That money, youth, stuff, status, power, prestige, or even physical ability, will be your path to personal freedom.

In its place, he offers a powerful reminder - that in each & every moment we have a CHOICE. Not about what we frantically cling to but what we gracefully choose to let go.

While his road to recovery is just getting started & the destination will look nothing like he ever imagined, you’re invited to join a group of anyone who identifies with the masculine journey to sit down, listen, learn, and gain a broader view of your path forward too.
