Social Media Intership

Maple Grove Hot Springs and Retreat Center is a 45 acre, fully off-grid eco center along the Bear River and Oneida Narrows Reservoir.  We offer 4 hot spring pools, a 30’ group retreat yurt, glamping accommodations in yurts, canvas, cabins for over 30 guests, riverfront beach, hiking trails, paddleboard/kayak rentals, reception lodge/bathhouse, and more.

Social Media & Marketing Internship

The Social Media & Marketing Internship provides the ideal candidate the opportunity to be an integral member of the founding team of conservationists, healers, explorers, artists, and builders dedicated to the revival of a historical hot springs in the pristine landscape of Southern Idaho. Candidates will work directly with the General Manager to co-create the start-up brand strategy for the inaugural season.


Commitment:          Minimum 3 months

Work Schedule:       Flexible, some weekends (15-20hrs/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of the Maple Grove Hot Springs Retreat Center Marketing Team

  • Work with Marketing Team to build and execute an eco hospitality brand from the ground up

  • Create, curate, and manage social media and marketing content and conversations

  • Be a Maple Grove representative upholding our vision and core principles


Social Media

  • Create social media postings for Maple Grove audiences on FB, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter to promote bookings, events, and campaigns

  • Responsible for sharing media from the platform with the appropriate photography, verbiage, links, and product descriptions

  • Maintain communication with the Maple Grove audience on FB, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter; engaging with and commenting on users’ posts, and respond to Facebook & Instagram inquiries or direct customers to General Manager

  • Find and curate content from approved sources

  • Follow content calendar and ensure future holidays, events, and campaigns are scheduled


Brand Creation

  • Assist General Manager with development of Maple Grove brand awareness and online reputation

  • Stay up-to-date with eco hospitality trends and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention



  • Experience with FB, Instagram, Later, Pinterest, and Twitter

  • Familiarity with eco hospitality, tourism, special events

  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

  • Good organizational and time-management skills



  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or digital media

  • Degree or seeking degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred



  • Work remotely from anywhere (some onsite visits required, Salt Lake City preferred but not required)

  • One free night stay coupon per month (please coordinate with Host for available dates)

  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and other special events and activities at a reduced rate

  • Fresh air, sunshine, soaking, and an experience of a life-time. Onsite housing when necessary.

  • Opportunity to be a part of the founding Center team during its inaugural season.
